Earlier this week, Nike announced they signed LeBron James to a lifetime contract. Details for the endorsement deal have not been released, but some reports are speculating its worth more that $500-million or $30-million a year.
James has been signed with Nike since he was a rookie in 2003 when he signed a contract worth $90-million and signed a 10-year extension back in 2010.
Both Nike and the Cavs superstar are thrilled about the lifetime endorsement for the brand. James boasted about the deal via Instagram in a post saying, “4 Life! Thank you for taking a chance on a skinny 17 year old kid from Akron Ohio. #Nike #StriveforGreatness.“
