Yesterday the Jordan Brand revealed soccer star Neymar's new football boot also known as the NJR x JORDAN Collection. The collaboration makes Neymar the first football player ever to have a boot endorsed by MJ himself.
The Hypervenom II boots are inspired by the Jordan 5 and feature distinct Jordan designs with a mix of Neymar’s stylish flair. Jordan’s iconic “Jumpman” logo is on the back; number ‘23’ is on the right side of the heel and Neymar’s ‘10’ on the other. As well there are some personal touches for the Brazil-native. On the laces you'll see his son's initials, DL, along with the Brazilian flag. The 23-year-old Brazilian will debut the boots at the Rio Olympics.
About workign with Michael Jordan, Neymar couldn’t be more excited saying, "I’ve always admired him, so to collaborate with him and have his icon on my boots means a great deal to me.” And NBA legend Michael Jordan feels the same about Neymar, "I'm a fan of his creativity, style and passion for the game of soccer. He's a special player and I look forward to this collaboration."
In addition to the release of these soccer boots, The Jordan Brand will release a special Neymar edition of the Jordan V Low with the soccer star’s name stitched on the inside of the tongue, which Neymar was seen wearing earlier this week in NYC.
The boot officially goes on sale June 3 on Nike.com for $190. Get more deets about the new iconic boot below.
